Birth through age 3, during every service

“Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.”

Matthew 19:14

We provide a clean, safe, and caring nursery for infants and toddlers during our services. Our nursery workers are committed to caring for your little ones with kindness and attention so parents can participate in the service with peace of mind.

We want every member of your family, from the youngest to the oldest, to feel welcomed and cared for as we grow together in Christ.

Junior Church

Ages 4–11, during the Sunday morning service

“We will not hide them from their children, shewing to the generation to come the praises of the LORD, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he hath done.”

Psalm 78:4

Our Junior Church is a real church service designed especially for children. Through singing, prayer, and Bible teaching from the King James Version, we seek to help children understand God’s Word in a way they can follow and apply.

Our goal is not simply to keep children occupied for an hour. We want each child to leave knowing something true about God that they did not know when they arrived, and to begin learning how God’s Word applies to their everyday lives.

Patch the Pirate Club

Ages 4–13, Sunday evenings

“Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.”

Ephesians 5:19

Meeting on Sunday nights, Patch the Pirate Club is an exciting and instructive program for children ages 4–13. Through Bible lessons, Scripture memory, and music, children are taught foundational truths while developing an appreciation and understanding of music.

Children learn basic music theory, new songs, and how to sing and perform together as a choir. Our desire is to help each child grow in their knowledge of God’s Word while developing the musical skills and confidence to use their voice and talents for the Lord.

Students & Youth

Middle school and high school students

“Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers.”

1 Timothy 4:12

The Mid-America Baptist youth ministry is designed to help middle school and high school students grow their faith, their character, and their relationships. It’s about creating an atmosphere that is Christ-focused where they can belong.

We encourage our youth to be involved in everything we do, from soul-winning to participating in activities and serving.

Adults

Men’s Class, Ladies’ Class, banquets, and monthly family fellowships

“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”

Matthew 18:20

Our adult ministry centers on gathering as a community around the Word of God and living lives modeled after Christ. The goal of all adult ministries at Mid-America Baptist is to help challenge participants to live out their faith while impacting others with the power and truth of the Gospel.

From Men’s Class, Ladies’ Class, and banquets to monthly family fellowships, we always have sweet times together.

Fellowship, visits, and ministry at Elsberry Health Care Center

“With the ancient is wisdom; and in length of days understanding.”

Job 12:12

At Mid-America Baptist, we love our Senior Saints. There’s just something special about being around someone who has been down the road and experienced the ups and downs of life. We take every opportunity to visit with the elderly and provide opportunities for fellowship and Christian growth.

We regularly minister to the residents of Elsberry Health Care Center.

Missions

Supporting missionaries around the world

“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:”

Matthew 28:19

Missions is at the heart of our church. Mid-America Baptist Church regularly supports an ever-increasing number of missionaries, and we are actively involved in each of these works.

We believe that the heart of compassion Christ had for the lost on this earth has been administered to us by the Spirit of God. As we serve our local community in Winfield, we are mindful of the responsibility we share to also spread the gospel abroad.

Soul-Winning & Visitation

Saturdays at 10:00 a.m.

“And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.”

Luke 14:23

Our church believes strongly in the Great Commission. We meet each Saturday at 10:00 a.m. to organize and engage our community with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Whether we are following up with visitors, canvassing neighborhoods, or simply speaking with people in public gathering places, the Gospel of Jesus is being ministered on a weekly basis.
